The Manila Zoo is certainly worth a visit. It features many indigenous Philippines animal species such as the tamaraw (water buffalo), the Philippine crocodile, the mouse deer, and the Palawan pheasant. There are many other Asian animal species including monkeys and birds.

A recent acquisition by the Zoo is a pair of Siberian tigers.

The Manila Zoo also has a Kinder Zoo section where the children can pat the animals.

The Zoo is open every day from 8 am to 6 pm. It is located at: Quirino Ave. at Adriatico Street, Manila, Philippines (tel: 2-525-8157).
